If you want to be influential in the legal profession, you’ll have to disrupt the status quo.

That’s difficult in a profession built on hierarchy and being right.

And it means doing things the average barrister and lawyer doesn’t do.

- Using ethical influence instead of relying on force, seniority or manipulation to move others toward a desired outcome.
- Having hard conversations that give people autonomy and free choice, rather than controlling them to get your way.
- Looking first at what you need to do to influence the situation, instead of deciding the problem is everyone else.

And none of this is complicated.
It’s learnable.

They don’t require huge amounts of time.
They don’t require your life savings.
They don’t require sacrificing anything worthwhile.

They simply require it to be a priority.

I’ve still never met anyone who said:
“I wish people listened to me less.”
“I wish leading others felt harder.”
“I wish I had less influence.”

So the question becomes:
Will you make the time?

Because the barristers and lawyers who do, and the barristers and lawyers who don’t, have the same hours in the day | week | year.

Try this for the next 7 days.
âś…When people resist, stop pushing harder and proving you're right.
âś…Give people autonomy instead of trying to control them.
âś…Look first at what you can do differently, not automatically asking "what's wrong with them".

If things get worse, ignore this advice.
If things improve, maybe you’ve started a new habit.

If you want to become the influential leader people trust, respect and want to follow.... The High Performance Lawyers Program is open for a few days.
