I’m on a 25-day cruise (Brisbane to Seattle).
I chose “Anytime dining.”
First night, there’s a line to get a table.
Miss your time once, you lose it for the rest of the trip.
So it’s not anytime.
It just looks like it.
That’s your day.
It looks flexible.
But by the time you sit down, it’s already full.
You’ve been busy all morning.
And the work that matters is likely still sitting there.
You finish in court.
Finish a mediation.
Or you’ve been in the office or chambers all day, and go straight to what’s waiting.
Urgent Emails.
Requests.
Whatever’s in front of you first.
Different days.
Same system.
Same result.
The work you meant to get done by now is likely still sitting there.
And it doesn’t stay in today.
It carries into tonight.
Then tomorrow, with less time and more pressure.
Same work.
Less space to do it well.
You can leave this right here.
Or see what’s getting in the way—and pushing your work to later - HERE (Limited time):
