I didn’t finish high school.

If you’ve ever felt behind in this profession — like everyone else knows what they’re doing and you’re just trying to keep up — you’ll understand this.

Years later, with no formal education behind me, I decided to study law.
Less than two years after starting, I was at the Bar.

On paper, that sounds decisive.
In reality, it came with constant self-doubt and second-guessing.

I often felt behind.
Like everyone else knew what they were doing and I was just trying to keep up.
I questioned my competence, my preparation, whether I was ready at all.

Those thoughts still show up.

What changed was this: I already knew how to interrupt them.
So I didn’t let those thoughts dictate what I did.

If I had, I wouldn’t have applied to study law.
I wouldn’t have gone to the Bar.
I would have waited until I felt ready — which never comes.

The thoughts aren’t the problem. They’re normal.
What matters is what you do when they show up.
That’s what separates lawyers who stay in control from those who don’t.

They delay your decisions and cost you time.
They stop you from taking action and cost you opportunities.
They keep you stuck rechecking, overthinking and seeking reassurance you don’t need.

That’s still the difference I see now between lawyers who stay in control under pressure — and those who let self-doubt, second-guessing, overthinking and approval-seeking dictate how they perform.

If you recognise yourself in this, the replay is the next step.
~~Self-doubt. Second-guessing. Overthinking. (and approval addiction)~~

It shows you exactly how to interrupt them so they don’t slow you down.

It’s only available until Tuesday, 17 March at 10 pm AEDT.
