I KNOW THIS MAY BE CONTROVERSIAL BUT YOU CAN TAKE "RISKS"

High performers still feel self-doubt, fear and uncertainty.

The difference is that they're confident and defined by their tolerance of fear, not its absence.

They don't shrink from challenges, the unknown or new. They take bold action.

They aren't haunted by the 'what-ifs.'

They look forward to thinking differently, approaching conflict with managed emotions, and trying new strategies so they improve and serve at the next level.

They believe in their ability to solve problems, which helps them progress more efficiently and inspires others to do the same.

In conflict resolution, your most significant risk is playing it too safe.

Take it from me:

1️⃣ #1 Prepare yourself first (your thinking, stories, emotions, tone of voice, communication and assumptions)...then focus on the client's issues.

2️⃣ Take calculated risks to unlock new opportunities.

3️⃣ Embrace each step and do your best, whether it leads to success or failure; there are lessons for improvement.

4️⃣ Burst the 'certainty safety bubble' - it stifles innovation and your growth.

You don't need to mitigate all risks to be successful.

Actually, it is quite the opposite.

You need a plan to turn fear of the unknown and uncertainty, worry about what they will think of me IF..." and take risks that will turn into your most significant rewards.

Turn conflict resolution into an opportunity to experiment, approach it confidently, and take calculated risks.

This will help you learn and grow your negotiation skills, processes, performance and results.

Then, you'll be part of a conflict resolution process you won't regret.
