It isn't about working harder.
It's not about relentless trade-offs.
It's not about pushing through exhaustion so you don't admit to feeling overwhelmed.
It's not about attaching your identity to your job title or wealth.
It's not chasing perfectionism to avoid criticism or perceived failure.
It starts with setting goals, aligning with what matters most to you, and having systems to achieve them.
Leaders who aren't proud of their achievements or the person they've become this year:
❌Chase random strategies and tactics and hope for the best, a risky strategy
❌Don't set ambitious goals and don't take the time to discover before starting if they'll achieve them or put in the work to achieve them
❌Don't see the importance of becoming the best version of themselves
❌They stay stuck in the weeds
This is the difference between top-tier leaders - who are proud of themselves and their achievements daily:
✅ They know what they want (and what they don't want)
✅ They show up intentionally every day to be the best version of themselves
✅ They don't cling to traditional measures of success even when they feel unfulfilled - they define what success means to them
✅ They celebrate their small wins
✅ They're courageous and willing to learn and "try" new things even when they feel uncomfortable.
Here's what I learned:
No one can do it for me.
I don't need anyone's permission to become the best version of me
I will celebrate my small wins, even if others think "they aren't big enough."
I will set ambitious goals and implement systems to reach them - because my goals are meaningful to me.
For me, it started with setting ambitious goals—firstly, to become the best version of myself—now seeing how far I've come how much I've changed and in the way I lead and live, a what I've accomplished as a result - I celebrate my small wins daily.
I did it through;
- goal setting
- continuous learning
- take consistent, bold action towards my goals - despite fear and excuses (and to be truthful even when I didn't feel like it).
That's why I'm optimistic about promoting change and seeing a bigger possibility for you.
I know there are unbelievable things you can achieve in your life and leadership.
There is so much you can do, grow, and change in your leadership and life.
If I can do it, you can do it.
