Want to learn the fastest way to go from expert lawyer to trusted leader this year?
Most lawyers are experts in law. Here's the truth: being an expert in law ≠ trusted leader.
The difference comes down to this one thing:
What happens when clients won't listen, team members aren't performing, you're dealing with workplace complaints about a friend, or avoiding resolving conflicts in the office or struggling to handle difficult counterparts at mediations, and you're trying to handle it all with legal skills instead of leadership skills (which you weren't taught)?
Do you scramble for quick fixes? Online "tick and flick" firm training, books, CPDs, following senior practitioners, or hiring an executive coach?
Most lawyers do.
And most find that these don't work long-term.
These solutions don't work because they provide generic approaches that overlook the unique pressures lawyers face in the office, courtroom, and during mediations.
- Many follow standard training that doesn't take into account the perfectionist mindset of most lawyers.
- Many stop when they learn theory, but don't know how to apply it in their daily work and lives, and haven't advanced further.
- Many often follow more senior lawyers who have never been trained in leadership skills themselves.
What is the cost of staying where you are, leading only with legal skills?
You're trying to lead people with the same skills you use to practice law, but leading people requires completely different skills that nobody ever taught you (yet).
In six months, you'll still be struggling with the same challenges - still avoiding that difficult conversation, still wondering how to handle teams and people challenges, still feeling unprepared when leadership moments arise.
That's why I created the "Trust Trio" Workshop - to walk you through this system to go from expert lawyer to trusted leader.
A 60-minute hands-on workshop where you'll discover:
• The Trust Trio's proven system - designed by a lawyer for legal professionals and legal challenges.
• How to get crystal clear on your leadership identity so you can show up authentically and confidently even in the most challenging moments, like a leader.
• How to prepare for conflict resolution beyond relying on legal arguments - the leadership skills you need for office conflict and mediations.
Presented by Louise Mathias - Barrister (ex-litigation), Mediator (Harvard), Leadership Coach who has helped technical lawyers combine leadership skills with their expertise, so they attract premium clients who pay them for both their legal knowledge and the value they bring as a leader.

WHY WORK WITH LOUISE?
85% of strategic mediations settle.
Only 15% of adversarial ones do.
Here's what's happening:
You walk into a mediation, overthinking, terrified of looking incompetent, and exhausted from the pressure of not making a mistake (and not getting an outcome clients are happy with).
You're applying legal skills and providing solid position papers, as well as legal arguments. But you're stuck in technician mode when the room needs leadership skills.
The pattern is destroying even the most talented lawyers:
→ Overthinking or reacting to every word (instead of confidently navigating people and resolving the conflict)
→ Burning out from trying to do it all perfectly without appearing weak and unskilled as a lawyer.
→ Staying in expert legal mode (instead of using skills that influence the room)
→ Operating from "What will they think of me?" (instead of "I know what value I bring to the table")
While you're trapped in this cycle, other lawyers are using force, control, and titles to steamroll people and the room.
And you use equal force and control in return, or you capitulate.
Here's what nobody tells you:
1. If you don't build trust and separate the people from the problems, it won't matter how good your legal arguments are, they won't listen and will resist (even quietly).
2. If they don't trust that you can manage your emotions, they'll question your legal competence.
3. If they don't trust that you will be fair, they'll become defensive and uncooperative.
My background:
15 years in law. 13 years at the Bar (ex-litigation), Mediator (Harvard) + Leadership Coach + Consultant
I've watched expert lawyers sabotage themselves and their results, not because they lack legal skills but because they're operating from a position of overthinking and fear rather than one of trusting themselves and building trust in the room.
The data proves it: Strategic mediations settle 85% of cases while fear-driven approaches create the deadlocks that destroy deals.
Do you want a mediator who:
→ Understands you want the best process and resolution possible, so you don't waste time and money (and it reflects poorly on you).
→ Knows how to lead lawyers who use force, control, and aggressive tactics to focus on what matters to resolve legal (and often underlying human) issues.
→ Recognises the importance of building trust quickly.
Ready to work with someone who gets that your expert legal skills deserve the right environment to achieve breakthrough results?
