High Performance Lawyers
This isn’t another “legal updates” newsletter.
It’s a briefing for ambitious lawyers who want to perform sharper, win more, and stand out (for the right reasons).
I’ll send you short, practical insights on:
⚡ How to perform under pressure without losing control
⚡ The habits that separate elite lawyers from the pack
⚡ Influence that works in mediation, negotiation, and the rooms that matter
⚡ Clarity and edge you can apply immediately in practice
No fluff. No filler. Just strategies designed for lawyers, barristers and legal professionals who are already good—but want to be undeniable.
We hate SPAM. We will never share your information, for any reason.
Back when I was a litigation barrister,
Now, as a barrister-mediator,
And today, as a high-performance coach
Most think the same thing.
That everyone else is confident.
That everyone else is in control and has it all figured out.
And that they’re the only ones carrying daily worry and pressure.
WRONG
If we’re being honest, here’s what it often sounds like in your head:
If I make a mistake, it could be career-ending.
If I show doubt, I’ll look weak, and no one will trust me.
If I say no, I’ll lose clients, respect, maybe more.
So the pressure builds.
You say yes when you don’t want to.
You try to control everything - even when it’s not possible.
And then you replay it all later: the mediation, the court, your performance in the room.
Did I push hard enough? Did I push too hard? Did I say it wrong?
But here’s the reality: the harder you push to control it all, the less control you have.
That’s the pressure-performance model most lawyers and barristers follow.
Where worry sets the terms.
Where “doing more” feels safer than doing less
Where focus and control is always just out of reach - no matter how many hours you throw at it.
Your legal skill gets you respect.
But legal skill alone won’t give you control.
It won’t cut the pressure.
And it won’t make people listen when the stakes are highest.
The truth? Constant pressure doesn’t make you better.
It just makes you lose focus and control.
That isn’t high performance.
It’s pressure-performance.
And you don’t have to keep buying into the myth that you’re the only one.
The best lawyers and barristers aren’t the ones who live with constant worry.
They’re the ones who choose to build habits, systems and infrastructure that give them focus, control, and influence - so they perform at the highest level daily without pressure, calling the shots.
🚀If you want a place to start, grab the Winning Preparation Sheet (you’ll find it HERE).
It’s for the times when you’re worrying about your prep - wondering if you’ve done enough. It’ll save you hours and cut the endless second-guessing.
Because worry doesn’t decide anymore.
You do.
